Over my time in the natural resources sector it has become apparent that concepts involving energy and environment are poorly understood and to a greater or lesser extent poorly communicated. Company news releases, academic papers, news media reporting and governmental initiatives never seem to tell the story in a way that is at the same time authoritative and open.

I have no pretense to replace those sources, but I do like to find my own subjective truth by bringing together multiple facets of the energy and environment debate. Energy is after all one of the most fundamental aspects of existence and of growing interest to a wider section of society than it has ever been before, both in terms of finite resources and global change.

It actually doesn’t particularly matter to me whether that change is considered in economic, environmental or societal terms, what matters is that the depth and breadth of the upcoming changes are appreciated in all their multipolar glory and that any solutions implemented do not cause a regression in our global culture.

And much, much more new thinking at http://www.nohotair.co.uk.

Firstly, start off with what part of there is no energy shortage, not now and not ever do people not understand?

Interesting how that simple fact upsets greens and nuclear fans and peak oilers equally.

There is definitely a shortage of new thinking, across all parts of the spectrum. The same old sky is falling stuff serves no one.

We think there is not only a bright future, it can be an exciting and profitable one for everybody. But it has to start with the creation of new thinking instead of catering to outdated concepts.
